Pyramid Pairs is the memory game at expedition scale. Thirty-six sealed tiles hide eighteen matching glyph pairs deep in a sunlit tomb — flip two at a time, remember everything, and clear the wall before your torches burn out. The six-by-six grid is where casual matching becomes genuine memory athletics: corner anchors, row-scanning, glyph clustering — real mnemonic technique starts paying off. The forgiving three-miss rule keeps early exploration cheap, but deep runs demand a real mental map. Clear the full tomb for the win and the bragging rights that come with a six-by-six sweep. Thirty-six positions exceed raw short-term memory by design — champions do not remember harder, they encode smarter. The method-of-loci trick works beautifully here: treat the grid as a tiny building, give each row a floor, and file glyphs as furniture. Open with a deliberate reconnaissance sweep of one full row or column rather than scattered guesses; ordered reveals chunk into memory at roughly twice the rate of random ones. Mid-game, prioritize confirming pairs whose halves you are SURE of, and save the half-remembered ones for the endgame when elimination logic does the recall for you. Taps, clicks, and d-pad navigation flip the same stones on every screen size, with the grid rescaled to stay readable from a couch. Fewest-flip clears are the score that matters on the weekly expedition board.
